Here are some reminders:
Academics:
- Last day to withdraw class at UPO is March 15th
- Career development workshop is on March 19th
Student Services:
- CEA Global Campus will be open on Friday, March 1st from 9.00 to 14.00.
- If you signed up for the cooking class immersion activity, you should have received an email confirming the day you will be attending. If you signed up and did not receive this email, please let us know. We will be meeting at CEA at 6:30 PM the day of the cooking class to walk together to the activity!
- If you are traveling on your own, please tell us your travel plans.
- As most of you may be traveling this weekend we recommend you bring a copy of your passport with you, in case yours gets lost or stolen. If you want, we can scan your passport and email it to you so you have a copy with you available anytime.
- Basketball game Sevilla team- Cajasol: If you want to attend a professional basketball game while you are in Seville, you can attend a game on Sunday, March 10th at 12:00 at a discounted rate! Let us know if you are interested and we will get you the information.

For all of you who feel adventurous we would like to let you know that there are some great trips planned by a group called OutdoorSevilla including hiking, beach trips, rock climbing, snowboarding and more! The prices are very reasonable for all that they include. Coming up there is a trip to Bolonia, Cadiz which is a beach town. If you are interested or want more info: www.outdoorsevilla.com. CEA does not work in conjunction with this group, but we have received referrals from students and other programs who say that they are great trips.

On Monday 4rd March at 21:30, for the match of Liga de Fútbol Nacional Sevilla FC – Celta de Vigo, tickets will be sold at an exceptional price of 5 euros to all North American of Seville, so that they can enjoy the organised party from our special offer “SOMOS DE TODOS, SOMOS DEL MUNDO”
How to participate in the Seville football party?
1. Discounted tickets will be sold in the ticket office at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium at the following times:
- Saturday 2nd March and Sunday 3rd March from 10 to 14 and 17 to 21 hours.
- Monday 4rd March, the day of the match, from 10 to 21:30.
3. On the day of the match, there will be a special box office clearly indicated by our campaign to make the entrance easier for the participants.
6. All participants who submit the competition participation form will be entered into a draw for a signed T-shirt and 2 VIP tickets for a match chosen by the club.
7. It is recommended that all participants keep their ticket for another promotion in a different match (to be determined).
Apart from the football, there will be a lot more surprises prepared for everyone at this party to make
everybody feel at home!

Tapas bar for the weekend: La Alpargata

Try their tradicionals "alpargatas" this is a good place to start a good night :)
Spanish Recipe of the day:
Today I would like to recommend you try making our albóndigas (meatballs)!
Ingredients
- 500g beef mince or pork mince
- 1 onion
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- parsley
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 4 tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 2 slices stale bread
- milk
- white wine
- flour
- salt and pepper
- olive oil

Directions
- In a blender or mortar, crush 2 cloves of garlic with the parsley and mix with a dash of white wine.
- Place this mixture in a large bowl with the mince, mix well and then leave to stand for 20 minutes.
- Place the bread in a shallow dish and cover with the milk. Leave to soak for a few minutes
- Add the bread, egg, salt and pepper to the mince and knead until all the ingredients are mixed together.
- Make small balls and roll each one in flour.
- Cook in plenty of hot oil until they turn golden brown, drain and place in a casserole dish.
For the sauce:
- Finely chop the onion and the remaining garlic
- Place a little oil from the meatballs into a casserole dish or large earthenware dish 3. Add the onion and garlic and gently fry until they begin to brown.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and about half a glass of white wine.
- Bring to the boil and cook for 5 minutes
- Pour the sauce over the meatballs and then place in a moderate oven for 20 - 25 minutes.
- Serve with fresh bread to dip in the sauce
